Attorney General Liz Murrill announced on Saturday that Louisiana would join Alabama and Florida in an investigation into Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The announcement follows a Senate committee hearing in which Dr. Fauci repeatedly used the Fifth Amendment when questioned about his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Fauci lied,” Murrill said in a statement posted to social media. “Louisiana and Missouri deposed Dr. Fauci. At the time, he claimed to not recall many key details of his own actions, and now we are discovering contemporaneous records he kept. Louisiana will join Alabama & Florida in investigating Fauci and whether he committed any other offenses that could be pursued in our State courts.”

Florida and Alabama have launched similar investigations, with Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier citing what he described as Fauci’s “lack of candor” to Congress. The hearing itself stretched for hours as Republicans aired grievances over pandemic policies and Fauci declined to respond. Fauci has described it as an effort to “embarrass and intimidate” him. Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, a Republican, posted his support of the investigations, per NOLA.com.

In a Fox Business interview, Senator Tommy Tuberville declared that Fauci “will eventually end up broke or in prison.” On the Wednesday ‘Evening Edit,’ Sen. Tuberville pointed to Fauci’s handling of gain-of-function.

A Brief Look at the Problem

Dr. Fauci repeatedly told Congress he did not fund gain-of-function research despite evidence to the contrary. Sen. Rand Paul accused him of perjury, among other potential crimes.

Dr. Fauci abusively silenced scientists on the origin of COVID-19 as a potential lab leak. The origin was attributed to everything but a lab leak. We will now never know for certain if it was a lab leak. China won’t provide the information we need. Dr. Fauci’s diary and emails back up Dr. Paul’s claims of deceit. Dr. Anthony Fauci deleted government business emails and told others to do so, which he is not allowed to do.

Then there were alleged lies to push mandated masking, distancing, and lockdown procedures on the word of Drs. Fauci, Collins, Baric, Birx, Redfield, and others. People lost careers, and children lost a year of schooling or more. People died for lack of therapeutics. In the past, Fauci denied all blame and pointed to the president or the governors, and corporations, et cetera.

Dr. Fauci and his associates blocked off the use of therapeutics which do work for many.

Then-President Biden gave Dr. Fauci a A FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL PARDON FOR ANY OFFENSES against the United States which he may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014, through the date of this pardon arising from or in any manner related to his service as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force or the White House COVID-19 Response Team, or as Chief Medical Advisor to the President.

However, the pardon does not cover offenses against the states.

Dr. Fauci never anticipated spending his retirement at age 85.
