In the clip below, Mahoning County Prosecutor Lynn Maro describes the video evidence in the case against 38-year-old Patrick Havas, following an alleged disturbance during Amy Acton’s appearance at the Canfield Fair on Sunday.
The media went whole hog in proclaiming this to be an assassination attempt, and Acton seems to have let them do it.
Prosecutor: The information we’ve received is that the Acton camp requested individuals stop recording shortly before this incident occurred. So, at this point, the only video we have is the defendant’s, and what that’s showing certainly doesn’t support filing felony charges.
Reporter: What does that video show?
Prosecutor: It shows him walking into the tent, recording, and moving forward, calling out her name, and the state patrol and her security; I shouldn’t say the state patrol. Somebody in her security comes forward, and then his phone is either dropped or tousled, and that’s all we have. There’s never any close contact with the governor; never gets near her, or sorry, candidate for governor.
One might suspect that he was tackled and arrested for filming, followed by lies about him trying to assassinate Amy Acton. And the people who allegedly fell off their bikes? We don’t know yet.
If this is true, it is a travesty that he is held in prison without bond. It wouldn’t surprise me because Democrats and their media think it’s okay to do this type of thing. It was rampant under Biden and might return in November.
