Catherine Herridge knew about the Hunter laptop story while she was at CBS. She obtained a clean copy of the data provided to the FBI and commissioned an independent review. She confirmed that the data was authentic and told her editors it was fully sourced. Herridge said CBS killed the story.
She told CBS about Hunter’s vulgar and racist language on the laptop. They said they were not interested in the story.
She had more than half a dozen emails likely sent by Joe Biden or used by him. They weren’t interested.
It was then that 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl told viewers on camera that the laptop story “couldn’t be verified.” Herridge had just finished verifying it. CBS chose Stahl’s public denial over Herridge’s proof.
Herridge was fired in 2024. When she left, the network seized her professional files, including the laptop data she had worked to verify.
And then people voted, without knowing what went on, in the allegedly most secure election ever.
