CNN’s Big Exposé This Week, Last Week & Next Week Is on the Reflecting Pool

With all that is going on in the world today, CNN is obsessed with the reflecting pool. Article after article on CNN is about the pool. They even sent a reporter to take water samples from the pool.

A CNN reporter independently took a water sample from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to investigate the rapid algae bloom that occurred immediately after the pool was refilled following a recent renovation. When CNN consulted a pool store to test the water, the results showed that the pool’s phosphate levels were far higher than recommended, providing an ideal environment for the algae.

That could be because they are using chemicals to clear the algae.

Are vandals ripping the blue sealant from the bottom of the reflecting pool? It’s not clear. Some reports say the sealant is coming off because hydrogen peroxide is being poured into the pool to kill the algae. Others say a man was caught jumping in the pool, ripping it off.

Additional reports say someone carved 86 47 into the pool, and a man was arrested. Others say it was just written into the algae. Regardless, someone was intruding into the pool writing it.

One man grabbed the hose being used to clear the pool of algae and was arrested. The National Guard is now protecting the pool.
