The bizarre Democrat running for the Senate in Wisconsin looks like she’s been programmed by a cult. She is committed to the DSA platform, but recently decided she doesn’t support everything. For example, she’s not going to abolish the Senate “at this time.” Democrats have lost their minds voting for this communist. She is trying to tone down the outlandish DSA agenda, but she does agree with it.

Then came the carefully scripted pivot engineered to sound more moderate than radical. Her delivery: flat, practiced, almost AI robotic. What makes this a remarkable moment is that Hong is ahead in a presidential battleground with a Republican legislature.
Trump won this state. The August 11 primary, as I wrote earlier this month in my Just the Facts “The Democrats’ Tea Party Moment,” is the clearest test yet of whether the DSA can rebrand itself enough to win more than just deep blue districts. If Hong wins, “DSA can’t win outside Brooklyn” dies as a theory. Judge for yourself.
