Victor Davis Hanson warned in his latest column at Townhall that Democrats will soon find out how the communism they “nurtured and spawned” will work out. Maybe they thought they could control it, but Jacobins are never satisfied.
Clearly, he is correct about it not being a hijacking. Democrats’ hatred-fueled attacks on Donald Trump and his supporters led to their embrace of communist DSA madmen. In fact, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said this past week that DSA is welcome under their big tent. It’s hard to find a more self-absorbed Trump hater than Chuck. Ironically, he will likely be on their hit list soon.
The media had a large role in this. They cheered the most radical people in their party. The country didn’t matter at all in this quest for the destruction of President Trump and his followers.

The DSA did not hijack the party. They embraced it out of pure hatred of Trump and MAGA.
After a decade of establishment Democrats destroying norms and traditions, deliberately dividing us by race, seeking to eliminate life-giving fossil fuels, and trying to implement dangerous crackpot ideas like critical race theory, critical legal theory, no cash bail, and defunding the police, the only change is that the now-electrified socialist monsters have awakened.
They have mocked their stagnant creators, reenergized the old messages, and simply sought to replace the messengers. Gone or going soon were the old white people like Pelosi and Schumer — despite their pathetic efforts to appease the Jacobins.
In their place arose a cohort of upper-middle-class, degreed but otherwise poorly educated white urbanites, furious that their empty university certificates, student debt, inflated sense of self, and precious titles and jobs — but low salaries — had not delivered the affluent lifestyles enjoyed by lawyers, doctors, stockbrokers, and other professionals in their urban circles who had real jobs.

They even say it. The radicals are on the rise and confident, frequently saying they hate Democrats and don’t need them any longer.
