Democrats plan to pack the Supreme Court to make it an arm of the Democrat Party. They might just fire the conservatives or add their favorite radical lawyers.
Republicans keep the filibuster to protect the Court, but the Democrats plan to pack the Court, which would require them to kill the filibuster. They have already skirted the filibuster when it suited them.
Dr. St. Onge says there are silver linings to gutting the Court. For one, if the Court can’t declare laws invalid, neither can Obama judges. For another, and more importantly, you revert back to states as the Constitution intended. In other words, states individually decide what is constitutional, nullifying anything they disagree with.
The Constitution does not give the Supreme Court the right to strike down laws, since it has no mechanism to enforce them. It’s a mirage. Supreme Court’s enforcement mechanism was ended in 1803…
The end result could be good. We could all move to normal states, and the blue states can do whatever crazy things they want to do.
Maybe it’s time to let the Court go.
