Former Maine Democrat Senate nominee Graham Platner is preparing to return to the public stage just weeks after a sexual assault allegation from an ex-girlfriend. One would hope that, with all the allegations against him, he’d disappear.
However, as a self-confessed communist, he is coming back for a most appropriate event. He will headline the Labor Day event in Ellsworth, Maine.
The 41-year-old fake oyster farmer, who only delivered to his mother’s restaurant, and combat veteran, who bashed other combat veterans, won Maine’s Democratic Senate primary. He ended his campaign in July following the rape allegation after many other awful allegations.
At the time, Platner said he was leaving the race because defeating Collins was more important than continuing a campaign consumed by controversy.
Actually, he was reportedly ordered to drop out because of his sinking poll numbers.
Now, he is set to appear as the featured speaker at the “Labor Day Rally for Labor,” an event organized by Hancock County Activists at Ellsworth City Hall, not far from the small coastal community where Platner grew up.
According to a notice posted on the Hancock County Democrats’ website, Platner is expected to speak about the history of unions and the role organized labor has played in Maine and across the country.
“If Graham Platner is still a heroic leader for Maine Democrats, as this speaking event indicates, their party is out of touch with Maine,” Maine Republican Party spokeswoman Kristina Parker said, arguing that voters had been repulsed by the controversies surrounding his campaign.
The Totenkopf tattoo-sporting candidate allegedly abused other women and reportedly lied nonstop about his oyster farming and basically everything, especially his tattoo.
Labor Day is often seen as a communist event. The hardcore left tried to have it recognized on May Day. Fortunately, that didn’t happen.
