Kathy Hochul’s law banning New York police from cooperating with ICE is now in effect.
Fifteen New York sheriffs are suing her and Attorney General Letitia James over it. Sheriff James explained the Hochul law is unconstitutional and dangerous. Hochul’s administration reacted by suing the sheriffs who are trying to protect New Yorkers.
It’s more insanity from the far-left New York rulers who protect criminals and people here illegally.
The sheriff said the law is very dangerous and limits cooperation. It takes away the ability to detain criminals if they are here illegally. Hochul even established an Office of Immigrant Trust within the Attorney General’s office to investigate the sheriffs, the police, and ICE who are pursuing the criminals and other people here illegally. This is meant to stop law enforcement.
The sheriffs are fed up with pro-criminal policies.
In a sane world, Kathy Hochul and Letitia James would be under investigation.
