Kentucky child killer Ronald Exantus slaughtered a six-year-old boy on December 7, 2015. He served out his 11-year prison sentence. He is back on the streets after his release from the Kentucky Department of Corrections.

Logan Tiipton, Find a Grave

Exantus killed 6-year-old Logan Tipton.

“Pursuant to state laws passed by Kentucky’s General Assembly, Ronald Exantus has served the sentence issued by the Woodford Circuit Court and has been released. He is no longer in the custody of the Department of Corrections. The Kentucky Parole Board did not release Exantus, and he was not released early,” the state’s Department of Corrections said, WKYT reported.

Logan was sleeping in the room with other Tipton children when the psychotic Exantus entered. He had with him his kitchen utensils, including a butcher knife, to “perform surgery” on Logan. The 11-year-old Tipton child tried to stop him. The child was assaulted, as was another child and the father. One of the children ran to get the father, who wrestled with Exantus.

The verdicts were contrived.

The verdicts reached by the jury were guilty by reason of insanity (NGRI) as to the burglary and murder and not guilty but mentally ill (NGMI) as to the three assaults.

Exantus was allegedly fine up until a week before he butchered the little child. What is to prevent this psycho from doing it again?

Kentucky Department of Corrections
The NY Post reports that he was first released on parole on Oct. 1, 2025. He quickly ended up back behind bars after moving to Florida. He failed to register as a convicted felon and violated his parole eight days later.

Xantus was extradited to Kentucky. He then served out the remainder of his sentence. He was locked up until Wednesday.

During that time, the Kentucky State Legislature passed Logan’s Law. It amended the state’s parole eligibility for violent offenders, changed insanity defense procedures. It eliminated some of the early-release options.

The law was not retroactive.

He should have been given a life sentence.

The Family’s Dispair

“The judge and jury gave this monster a slap on the wrist while handing down a life sentence to my family,” the heartbroken father wrote on Facebook Wednesday.

“Trying really hard to not let this break me….I’ve carried so much over the years since Logan going to be with our Lord. I have woke up everyday, put on my fake ass smile and have carried on with life and literally living through hell. Today though, I’m having a hard time trying to figure out how to go on with life. Knowing that this monster gets to walk free and live his life, while I lay in this bed and my baby boy is in the grave. This may be my breaking point,” he added.

The now-42-year-old is loose and probably very dangerous.
