Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley has won the Democratic primary in Wisconsin’s race for governor, NBC News projects, dealing a major upset to democratic socialist Francesca Hong.
The result marks a dramatic turnaround for Crowley, who had dropped out of the race roughly a month ago after initially struggling to gain traction, only to re-enter days later with outgoing Democratic Gov. Tony Evers’ endorsement.
Francesca Hong probably would have lost to the Republican, which is why Evers endorsed Crowley. He isn’t a moderate, though Democrats are portraying him as one. However, he’s not insane.
Hong almost won. The race was extremely close. It’s a sign of how low Wisconsin Democrats have fallen.
Francesca Hong’s opponent, David Crowley, says: “we have to listen to independents and Republicans because we [Democrats] don’t have a monopoly on good ideas.”

Peggy Flanagan is an extreme left progressive and has been number two under Tim Walz who will be remembered in the history books for Minnesota’s rampant fraud.
Minnesota’s new Democratic nominee for Senate has baggage heading into the November election: the massive fraud scandal that rippled through the Land of 10,000 Lakes happened right under her nose. Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan scored a major win for the insurgent progressive movement that’s reshaping the Democratic Party from the outside on Tuesday, toppling the more moderate Rep. Angie Craig, D-Minn., in the process.
But her role during the Minnesota fraud scandal has plagued her campaign, with both sides attacking her on the issue.
It became Craig’s prime line of attack against her. “The lieutenant governor, even as we sit here today, continues to take absolutely no accountability for any of the fraud issues, and she continues to blame the governor,” Craig said during a debate with Flanagan on Minnesota Public Radio. “And I’m going to be honest: It’s pissing me off.”
Michele Tafoya said, ”Peggy may not want to talk about fraud, but I will. The lieutenant governor was second-in-command while billions of taxpayer dollars were stolen. She refuses to take responsibility and is now asking Minnesotans to promote her to the U.S. Senate. Minnesota deserves better than Peggy Flanagan.”
The “Democratic Socialists of America” winning primaries and elections around the nation are almost entirely foreign-born immigrants or first-generation descendants of newcomers, some even originally illegal aliens.
