The following is an update of a December 2011 article. It is still current, and the situation is worse.
It was 2011, and illegal immigration was encouraged. Investigations of voter fraud were sidelined. Obama and Holder were bypassing Congress by allowing illegals who would normally be deported to apply for work permits. The government officials claimed they would remove criminal illegals, but they were slipshod on the issue before, and the open borders crowd had found a way around it.
That was the setting.

Some states are rebelling against another administration effort to control illegal immigration known as Secure Communities. The program requires that when state and local law enforcement send criminal suspects’ fingerprints to the FBI, the prints are run through an immigration database to determine the person’s immigration status. States have argued that the program puts them in the position of policing immigration, which they consider a federal responsibility. Immigrant advocacy groups have complained that people who had not yet been convicted of a crime were being caught up in the system.
Based on this, deporting illegal criminals became very difficult.
In June, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement told its agents to use discretion so as not to deport illegals who could potentially become legal via mandates such as the DREAM Act or based on their having been here illegally for a long time. The longer an illegal had gotten away with breaking our laws, the better it was for the illegal. The AP had the letter online directing the agents to no longer enforce the law.
The use of language like “Dream Act and “dreamers” was very effective in watering down our laws and prompting more illegal immigration
Western Journalism had an interesting piece at the time. It referenced Spanish-language publications encouraging those here illegally to get work permits.
…A source contacted me saying she translated Latino publications, and they are urging Hispanic illegals to be sure to get their work permits, so they can get drivers’ licenses, so they can register to vote. In the Chicago way, are we seeing the Obama campaign begin now to pad their Democrat voter lists by providing illegals incentives to vote for Obama by paving the way to sidestep those onerous voter ID rules about 35 states have enacted?
My source sent me the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles official proof of identity form “for learner permit, driver license or non-driver ID card.” A point value of “4″ is assigned to “DMV form MV-45A Statement of Identity And/or Residence-For Applicants Represented by Government or Government-Approved Facilities.” So, using this cascade of events to vote in our elections becomes a real possibility…
Unfortunately, illegal immigrants don’t need to go to this much trouble. They can obtain fake driver’s licenses and Social Security cards with little effort. I know illegal aliens who have, and do, and they vote. Read more about identity theft by illegals here: Mortensen
We then had The Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act (HR 3012), which gave work permits to talented foreign nationals while the US had large numbers of unemployed white-collar people who were citizens and legal residents. Schumer’s version also allowed people who were currently here illegally to stay and apply.
The Irish illegals demanded to be included. In a way, it is fair. If we allow tens of thousands of illegals from other countries to apply for work permits after they have broken our laws, why not them?
Let’s not forget the 2011 stripping of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s right to enforce immigration law. Sheriff Joe’s department was stripped of rights.
Illegal Voting Since at Least 2011
Attorney General Holder was trying to prevent states from implementing state-enacted voter ID requirements. In Texas, there were 600,000 registered voters who do not have a match in the state driver’s license/state ID record databases. How do these people without an ID legally operate a vehicle, get a Social Security number, apply for government benefits, get copies of their records, cash checks, go through airport security, purchase liquor or tobacco, register at a college, send a FedEx package, get a passport, etc??
Citizens’ Group Helps Uncover Alleged Rampant Voter Fraud in Houston
… Most of the findings focused on a group called Houston Votes, a voter registration group headed by Sean Caddle, who also worked for the SEIU before coming to Houston. Among the findings were that only 1,793 of the 25,000 registrations the group checked appeared to be valid. The other registrations included one of a woman who registered six times in the same day; registrations of non-citizens; so many applications from one Houston Voters collector in one day that it was deemed to be beyond human capability; and 1,597 registrations that named the same person multiple times, often with different signatures. ….
Illegal Immigrants Were Voting in American Elections
In 2005, the U.S. Government Accountability Office found that up to 3 percent of the 30,000 individuals called for jury duty from voter registration rolls over a two-year period in just one U.S. district court were not U.S. citizens. While that may not seem like many, just 3 percent of registered voters would have been more than enough to provide the winning presidential vote margin in Florida in 2000. Indeed, the Census Bureau estimates that there are over a million illegal aliens in Florida. At the time, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) had prosecuted more non-citizen voting cases in Florida than in any other state. Florida was not unique.
Thousands of non-citizens were registered to vote in some states, and tens if not hundreds of thousands in total may be present on the voter rolls nationwide (as of 2011). These numbers are significant: Local elections are often decided by only a handful of votes, and even national elections have likely been within the margin of the number of non-citizens illegally registered to vote. Yet there is no reliable method to determine the number of non-citizens registered or actually voting because most laws to ensure that only citizens vote are ignored, are inadequate, or are systematically undermined by government officials.
Those who ignore the implications of non-citizen registration and voting either are willfully blind to the problem or may actually favor this form of illegal voting.
