President Donald is in Ireland, making courtesy calls on the President and Taoiseach before heading to Doonbeg to take in the Irish Open. There were large protests, but don’t stop reading until you look at the clip below.
Sinn Féin spokesperson on Foreign Affairs Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire said his party is not confused over whether to support Donald Trump, despite his positive comments on Irish unity.
Ó Laoghaire was among thousands who protested in Dublin against President Trump’s visit, saying it was “one of the largest he had seen” in years.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Six One, Ó Laoghaire said President Trump’s comments showed “growing momentum” towards unity.
He said Ireland was “not a client state” of the US, despite their mutually beneficial economic relationship.
“It’s absolutely healthy that we’re in a position to criticize the policies of a US administration,” he said.
“I think the crowds here demonstrate the depth of feeling that is here in Ireland. The rejection of the policies of the Trump administration that have facilitated genocide in Gaza, created chaos in the Middle East with illegal wars, and ultimately hit families in the pocket here in Ireland,” he added.
Fine, \even though it’s not genocide, but what do they like so much about radical Islamists?
Is this video for real? They’re protesting in Ireland and waving Palestinian flags. Other Muslim nations don’t even want so-called Palestinians over their extreme radicalization.
