As reported, President Trump was angry with Bibi Netanyahu over what he believed to be an outsized response to a Hezbollah attack while he was trying to conclude a deal. Hezbollah is trying to kill the Iran deal. Some believe Netanyahu is also. However, Hezbollah attacked them first, and they have the right to respond. Then again, I don’t see how constant bombing has helped move toward peace. People are turning against Israel and Jews over the bombing, especially in Gaza.
President Trump told Axios the U.S.–Iran deal to end the war is still on track for Sunday despite Israel’s strike in Beirut and the Iranian threat to retaliate.
The president is racing to save a deal that nearly collapsed the moment Israel struck Beirut, leaning on private diplomacy and public messaging to get it signed.
“It shook it up; it delayed the signing by a few hours; it was supposed to be now. Now it is scheduled for a few hours from now,” Trump said in a phone call.
The escalation in Lebanon took place hours before the U.S. and Iran were supposed to sign a deal to end their war.
“It is so bad — I couldn’t believe it. An hour before we are supposed to sign the deal.”
Trump acknowledged that Hezbollah had attacked Israel first, but stressed that it didn’t cause any damage and nobody had been killed.
“Why did Bibi have to do a fucking attack? I was so pissed off. I let him know. He has no fucking judgment. I let him know that,” Trump said.
Mark Levin is having a tough time with this and declared himself the Voice of America.
Levin wants to expand the war, which would bring us into an endless war territory, while we have a Ukraine War going on. If Trump can get the deal as reported, it’s far better than any deal we have ever had. The U.S. has done a lot for Israel by devastating Iran’s military, and will be there if they need us.
Expanding the war right now on the eve of a deal is not something he wants to do.
Iran is untrustworthy, but this situation is affecting the entire globe. Should the U.S. bomb infrastructure in Iran or take Kharg, there could be a dramatic loss of U.S. military lives and innocent Iranian lives. The U.S. has to look at the big picture. The administration wants to give this a chance while remaining in the region.

Levin wrote on X, “I can’t tell you how many people, several of whom you’d know, who are contacting me out of grave concern.” In another post, he wrote, “This is now the disgraceful propaganda, which is spreading throughout the media, as intended. Hezbollah and Iran are laughing at the idiocy of the West. It used to be that Israel is never allowed to defeat its enemies. Now, Israel is not free to defend its country from terrorist attacks from Iran and its proxies without permission. This cannot stand, and it will not stand.”
