Senator Lindsey Graham has passed away suddenly after a brief illness. The political world is shocked at this unexpected death. President Trump will be sad; he considered him a good friend.

According to an official statement released by his office, the senior Republican Senator passed away on Saturday evening, July 11, after a brief, rapid battle with an undisclosed illness.

I didn’t like Senator Graham’s politics at all, too war-oriented among other problematic opinions, but I am sorry he passed and am sorry for his family, friends, and loved ones.

President Trump mourns the passing of Sen. Lindsey Graham, calling him “one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known” and “a true American Patriot.” Trump said Graham “will be greatly missed,” adding that details and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time.

Five days ago, the IRGC publicly called for Senator Lindsey Graham to be assassinated. Never wish for another’s death. It’s bad karma. Graham was very active on his X site on the 10th, and just the day before, he expressed sadness over the death of his friend, Jim Roquemore.

We never know when we will take our last breath, so live each day and live it well.

NBC News:

Photographs reviewed by NBC News show that paramedics carried a person on a stretcher from Graham’s home to an awaiting ambulance. Police cars and fire trucks were also on site.

A top staffer to Graham told NBC News early Sunday that there was no indication the lawmaker was feeling unwell prior to his death. He had been scheduled to appear on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune paid tribute to a “strong advocate for the United States and a strong ally to freedom-loving countries across the globe,” while South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster said Graham had been “the fiercest of fighters for South Carolina and America—and a loyal and steadfast friend.”

According to South Carolina law, McMaster will appoint someone to fill Graham’s seat until Jan. 3 of next year.
