Clarence Woodward is a homeless man who was paroled from prison in 2024. In that same year, he was charged with an unprovoked meat cleaver murder in a Bronx laundromat. He seriously injured another man with one of his two meat cleavers. The attacks were unprovoked.

At the time, Woodward had 27 prior arrests and had received parole just a month prior to the alleged killing, according to a Fox News report.

He passed away in Rikers after a medical emergency for which he was treated immediately. Nonetheless, it stirred the emotions of no less than the communist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

“I am deeply saddened by the death of a New Yorker in City custody at a jail on Rikers Island early this morning. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they grieve this loss.”

To the family of victim Jose Miranda, who died, the mayor’s statement was “a slap in the face.”

“It’s terrible,” his grieving mother, Marisol Miranda, told The New York Post on Thursday, adding, “That’s not fair. That’s not fair at all.”

Scott Jennings commented that there is so much violence in the socialist heart that they are “deeply saddened” when an alleged meat cleaver-wielding murderer passes away in jail.
