Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is facing a hit-and-run charge after authorities say he struck a parked vehicle in Napa County, California, and continued driving until his car became disabled.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened Friday in Yountville. A witness reported seeing a driver hit a parked vehicle, briefly stop, and then leave the scene before notifying deputies.
They spotted his brown convertible.
Investigators said Pelosi’s vehicle had “significant damage” to its front right side that was “consistent with the recent crash.” According to the sheriff’s office, “Pelosi admitted to hitting something, but said he did not know what he had hit, so he kept driving.” The release added: “He drove until his car died.
Hi hasn’t been the same since a lunatic bashed him in the head with a hammer.
