I agree with Erick Erickson on this report, and I think the readers will also. He doesn’t believe all the doom-and-gloom stories. Politico ran a story about Republicans privately acknowledging how worried they are about this election. Their concerns aren’t private. We all know how they feel.
As Erickson said, Politico is a progressive publication, so he doesn’t share their doom-and-gloom messages. He agrees with LaCivita on the clips below, who said it’s more BS from a dying publication.
Polls give Democrats a 5-point advantage. According to polling averages, Republicans are within two points, and they will be much further along by November. They haven’t ramped up their campaigns yet.
He explains that the polling bias showing Republicans two points behind means they are actually ahead.
While he admitted there is some bad economic news, no matter what the left does, they can’t make more people hate Trump. He has 100% name recognition, and the people who hate him already hate him.
“I have been in politics long enough, going back to the 90s,” Erickson said, “running campaigns, and I know historically, with very few exceptions, when you have as many wild card variables at play in an election as you have right now in this election, and I can’t remember the last time there were so many variables still unresolved in an election this late in the election? Those unresolved variables almost always benefit the incumbents. Why do they always benefit the incumbents? Because the incumbents are known.
