New York held a reparations hearing with some speakers calling for payments up to $800,000 for descendants of U.S. slaves. The final recommendations are due in 2029. This idea originated with Pan-African communists. The idea of people who never had slaves giving reparations to people who were never slaves is insane. It’s a ploy to keep Black people on the Democrat reservation, voting for them.
This is a scam, and for some Black people to go along with it to get cash is really disappointing.
Some Democrats will do anything to remain in power.

New York’s state reparations commission convened its final public hearing Saturday in Harlem, where residents called on officials to make direct cash payments to Black Americans. The participants claim it’s the only path to what one attendee described as “true justice.”
No, it’s not true justice. It’s greed.
According to a commission announcement, the New York State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies held the hearing.
It had a theme,“From Extraction to Repair: Closing the Racial Wealth Gap.” It was held in the National Urban League Conference Center at 117 West 125th Street in the no-go zone of Harlem.
They are taking testimony from people who were never slaves. It’s like me giving testimony about how my Irish peasants suffered or how my ancestor died in Andersonville to end slavery. That past shouldn’t affect anyone 150 years or more later.
The commission was established after Ms. Hochul signed legislation in December 2023 creating a community commission to study the state’s history of slavery and how to repair its lasting impacts on descendants of enslaved New Yorkers, reports The Washington Times.
It won’t work. When they get through with that, they will want more. It’s human nature.
