Obama Judge Talwani Blocked the USPS Rule Again Before the Midterms

Obama Judge Indira Talwani of Massachusetts granted a preliminary injunction barring the USPS from enforcing mandatory portions of its recently finalized “Ballot Mail for Federal Elections” rule. This is just in time for early voting.

The judge declared that the rushed time frame being pushed by the administration will make voter disenfranchisement “practically inevitable” if the rule is allowed to stay in place.

She rejected the Justice Department’s request that she pause her order while the administration appeals, and noted that her ruling does not bar states that want to follow the new rules from doing so.

Two weeks before, the Supreme Court stayed a separate Talwani injunction that had prevented the administration from moving forward with President Donald Trump’s March election executive order.

The USPS has now issued its final rule, so Talwani was able to redo her ruling that the Supreme Court struck down on the grounds that the legal issues have changed.

North Carolina began sending ballots today, and Alabama is preparing to do so.

Talwani’s new ruling prevents USPS from moving ahead. She even prevented USPS from taking any additional preparatory steps.

Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, it’s over for now.

Talwani is as corrupt as Hell.
