The “This is what I really meant to say” backpedaling by Democrat, DSA, and Islamic candidates is beginning to bloom. Dems, feeling the backlash against high-profile, anti-Semitic, blame-America-first supporters like Hassan Piker, are desperately looking to find an out.
The simplest dodge can be found in Islamic law. It’s called Taqiyya/Kitman, which not only absolves them from lying under certain circumstances but encourages them to do just that.
This code, primarily emphasized in Shia jurisprudence (and permitted in Sunni Islam under immediate threat of harm), allows a believer to conceal their faith, identity, or intentions to protect life, property, or community safety from a hostile force.
While lying may be strictly forbidden as a major sin, specific exceptions are made for high-stakes mediation, conflict resolution, or survival. A radical Islamist defining his/her own circumstances is offered a Shia loophole through which committed extremists can lie publicly to your face while raining missiles and drones down on intended targets.
Piker’s rants such as: “America deserved 9/11″, “The United States is worse than al-Qaeda pound-for-pound“, and “Let the streets soak in [landlords’] red Capitalist blood, dude.” remain accessible.
On the other hand, Abdul El-Sayed has been deleting tweets and posts faster than you can remind him that he spent the last day of his primary schmoozing with the above-mentioned, vile “California streamer”. Sadly for Abdul, his views on defunding the police, transgender surgery for minors, Sharia law, downplaying an obviously hate-fueled attack on a Michigan synagogue, and equivocating the 3,000 murders in the 9/11 attacks with COVID death tolls have been resurrected.
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, safely in office, can be more honest with his anti-Semitic, Socialist/Communist, and dismissive of September 11th ways. His is the template for other articulate Islamist pols trained in ways of deception.
Zo and El-Sayed, no matter how contrite they may seem, always offer a nod and wink to their America-hating base. Mandani shows up at the Ground Zero ceremony, only to be caught sharing some giggles and grins with AOC. Abdul mumbles about not agreeing with everything Hassan says but has never disavowed him.
The collective goal is to bamboozle enough willfully ignorant, naive, soft-headed, big-hearted dupes that everything Americans have been seeing with their own eyes and hearing with their own ears about them is untrue. These folks are trying to erase their recent history so they can write the next chapter of our history in a way that would make our present country unrecognizable.
We cannot let that happen.
