President Donald Trump said on Monday that Canadian private jet maker Bombardier would no longer be allowed to sell its planes in the United States unless it started manufacturing in the country.
President Trump has banned Bombardier. The company’s customers operate about 55% of its 5,100-aircraft fleet in the U.S.
Bombardier has a U.S. factory in Kansas for special mission defense planes. It has a U.S. workforce of 3,500.
Trump previously threatened Canadian-made aircraft with 50% tariffs and decertification of some Bombardier jets
“NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren’t good enough!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
“If they want our Market, they must build here and stop treating America like a ‘piggybank’,” he said.
