President Trump Calls for an Immediate Rehearing of Birthright Citizenship

I didn’t even know a rehearing was possible, but President Trump is asking the Supreme Court to rehear the birthright citizenship case. A couple of billboards went up along the border to advertise the delivery of babies in the United States.

If the administration pursues a rehearing with a narrower request, perhaps it could convince the Court.

President Trump just wrote on Truth Social:

Signs and Billboards are being put up all over our Southern Border and Mexico, advertising BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP, with “Deliveries starting at $4000.” Likewise, similar signs going up all over our Country.

Billions of Dollars will be illegally made by this SCAM, with Citizenship going to anyone willing to pay. It will be, by far, the number one way of becoming a citizen, and then the entire family will be allowed to follow. Not sustainable.

NOBODY SAW THIS COMING!!! AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP IS NOT FOR SALE! In fact, that is a crime, and therefore, the Supreme Court’s ruling is wrong.

I will be asking for a Rehearing by the United States Supreme Court, IMMEDIATELY. This miscarriage of justice will destroy America if they don’t change their absolutely insane decision. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

President DONALD J. TRUMP

According to the Repository at Seton Hall:

Yes, you can ask the U.S. Supreme Court for a rehearing, but it is an extraordinary procedure that is rarely granted. The Court’s rules strictly limit these petitions to intervening circumstances with a substantial effect or to address substantial grounds not previously presented.

A Texas hospital admitted to putting the billboards up. They took them down. However, it is a sign of the kind of corruption we can expect.

Gov. Abbott has ordered an investigation into Mission Regional’s new marketing strategy:

Gov. Greg Abbott on Tuesday directed the state’s health and human services commission to investigate whether a South Texas medical facility is advertising to attract international patients who want to give birth in the U.S.

“American citizenship is not for sale and Texas will not permit our healthcare system to be used as a magnet for birth tourism,” Abbott said in the letter addressed to Stephanie Muth, the executive commissioner of Texas Health and Human Services Commission. …

The letter asks the commission to look into Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas, after reports surfaced on social media last week that the medical facility ran advertisements in Spanish showing how much it would cost to deliver a baby at the hospital.
