President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, hailed what he described as “very meaningful discussions” regarding the Ukraine-Russia war. He said the talks in Kyiv on Sunday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy were “substantive [and] important.”
US peace envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Sunday, after holding three hours of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Saturday.
Witkoff, President Donald Trump’s envoy, said they had “heard new ideas” in Moscow.
They are planning new talks as soon as possible.
Putin asked the American delegation to convey his best wishes and sincere gratitude to Trump for his continued efforts to resolve the war in Ukraine.
