It is difficult to believe, but James Carville has a bottom line. He doesn’t want to be in a political party that denies the right of the state of Israel to exist. He read in the New York Times that Ms. Chevalier, one of the communist Islamist candidates Mamdani endorsed, is “against interracial relationships, the American flag,” and he’s “not in the same party as her.” It’s time to talk “schism,” he said.
Carville has had it with the “big tent” that includes what they are selling. He noted that democratic socialists don’t even like democrats.
“Not only are they not Democrats, they wish Democrats poorly.”
He’s okay with questioning the policies of Israel, but not the idea that they don’t have the right to exist. “I can’t do that,” he said.
How long this moment of enlightenment will last, we cannot say.
