Final Update: Pam Bondi has left and will take a position in the private sector. Bye, Pam. President Trump wrote the following on Truth Social.
Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year. Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900. We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future, and our Deputy Attorney General, and a very talented and respected Legal Mind, Todd Blanche, will step in to serve as Acting Attorney General. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Hopefully, he will put Lee Zeldin or someone equivalent in who is not Todd Blanche.
Update: Semafor, which has great sources. said, President Donald Trump has informed Pam Bondi that her time as his attorney general is nearing an end, multiple sources familiar with the situation told Semafor.
Trump has not yet made a formal announcement of Bondi’s replacement, but one is expected soon. As is typical, the sources noted that Trump can also change his mind at any time.
Trump has also spoken with senior officials about who might be best to replace Bondi, as first reported by The New York Times. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin is high on the list of options, the sources said, and Trump has told Bondi he’s actively mulling her replacement.
She should have been gone when she lied several times about the Epstein Files, but late is better than never. She probably is a nice person, but we need someone else. If it is Lee Zeldin, I think you will be very pleased.
Orignal Story
CNN reported that President Trump is privately discussing removing Attorney General Pam Bondi due to her lackluster performance. However, this week, he called her a “wonderful person” and said she is doing a “good job.”
CNN reported:
President Donald Trump has privately mused about firing his Attorney General Pam Bondi and replacing her with EPA administrator Lee Zeldin, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
Frustrated by the backlash and anger in his base over the administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, Trump has asked people about replacing Bondi, who faces a deposition later this month on Capitol Hill related to the congressional investigation into the late sex trafficker, the sources said. He has also fumed that she hasn’t investigated enough of his political opponents.
CNN is mostly fake news, so it’s hard to know if this is accurate. However, Bondi is ineffective, and Lee Zeldin is a moral, honest, true conservative. I know that firsthand. He’s a fighter, and I think he could do a very good job in that role. He was a JAG (Judge Advocate General) officer and a paratrooper in wartime.
Additionally, Mr. Trump doesn’t want to go after political opponents. He wants people who tried to overturn the government with hoaxes to face accountability.
The information appears to have come from unreliable Kaitlin Collins, who sometimes gets it right. She said he’s displeased with her performance with the Epstein Files. Pam Bondi is testifying on April 14th. We might see some action then.
