The Barbarians Are Inside the Gates
According to an NBC News report, the U.S. can deport the leader of Wisconsin’s largest mosque on the grounds that he is a threat to national security, an immigration judge ruled Wednesday.
Salah Sarsour was detained in Milwaukee in March by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. A federal judge ordered Sarsour’s release in June, saying he raised a “substantial” claim that the Trump administration was targeting him for speaking out against Israel and advocating for Palestinian rights.
Sarsour called the ruling “deeply disappointing,” but said he intends to appeal.
“I will continue fighting to defend the right to free speech and to stay in the country I have called home for more than three decades,” Sarsour said in a statement.
He will just keep appealing until a Democrat takes over the government and drops the case.
Sarsour was reported deportable on foreign-policy grounds. Because his presence here undermines U.S. policy against antisemitism and support for designated terrorist organizations.
The record:
- 1995 Israeli prison after conviction for throwing Molotov cocktails at Israeli forces
- Close association in prison with a Hamas military commander
- Named in FBI memos tied to the Holy Land Foundation – the largest terror-financing conviction in U.S. history
- Family furniture business alleged as a pipeline
- National board of American Muslims for Palestine, the rebranded Hamas-support network
- Photographed for years inside the same Muslim Brotherhood-linked circles we documented with Jomana Jihad Qaddour and the rest of that overlapping machine
Zohran Gets Security Clearance
Also in the news, Zohran Mamdani, who pals around with terrorists, and his second-in-command have national security clearances.
The mayor who has sympathized with Hamas now has access to top secret security information and has a couple of suspected terrorists on his smartphone; he is a national security threat.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani has received his federal security clearance after a months-long review that stretched into the ninth month of his administration, he said Wednesday.
“Yes, I have my security clearance now,” Mamdani said when asked for an update during an unrelated housing press conference in Brooklyn.
A City Hall source told amNewYork that the clearance was granted this week and that Mamdani has been cleared at the appropriate level to receive any classified federal briefings that would ordinarily be provided to the mayor of New York City.
The source said the U.S. Department of Homeland Security administers the clearance process and that Mamdani has not needed to receive a classified briefing so far this year….
The mayor had repeatedly stressed that the delay did not prevent his administration from handling security matters. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch and Mamdani’s chief counsel, Ramzi Kassem, were among senior administration officials who already held federal security clearances from previous positions. While the mayor of New York City is not a federal official, the position has traditionally included access to classified information related to terrorism and other national security threats affecting the city.
