The Atmosphere in the Courtroom During Karmelo’s Sentencing

I was not able to see Karmelo’s parents in the courthouse, in the courtroom at all. They were not inside the courtroom during sentencing.”

A reporter who was in the courtroom spoke with Megyn Kelly and told her that during sentencing, you could visibly see Karmelo. He was visibly shaking. Mike Howard had his hand on his shoulder, and he was crying. Of course, the judge entered, the jury entered, and they determined that there was no sudden passion, and he was given the 35-year sentencing.

The reporter said he should have gotten life and believes that 100 percent.

The reporter told Megyn Kelly, “You just showed the press conference that they had, and I believe it was with Greg Willis, and he said justice has been served here today. I don’t personally believe that justice can ever really, truly be served here on this earth. But I would also like to point out that during sentencing, when the actual sentence of 35 years was imposed, I was not able to see Karmelo’s parents in the courthouse, in the courtroom at all. They were not inside the courtroom during sentencing.”

Unbelievable, Kelly said.

“It is. It’s also unbelievable that when he was given the actual guilty verdict before sentencing, there was a very large amount of Karmelo Anthony supporters in the courtroom, and right after he was given the sentencing of, or excuse me, right after he was given the verdict of guilty, they all immediately left the courtroom before it was even, before the courtroom was even dismissed. They turned in their badges, and they all left, which I thought was interesting, considering they all consider themselves advocates of the Anthony family. But they abandoned them, probably during the most difficult time of the entire trial.”

I feel sorry for a 19-year-old facing at least 17.5 years of suffering, but I feel sorrier for Austin Metcalf and his family. Karmelo is lucky he received 35 years. He deserved life for cold-blooded murder. He’s dangerous.
