Another Democrat Golden Boy, Andrew Gillum, also known as the Florida Obama, almost became governor of Florida. He came within 32,000 points. His history, which wasn’t good, didn’t matter to the Gillum voters. The 46-year-old was arrested for driving erratically in Alabama, around 10:45 PM local time on July 2. He was stopped on US Highway 85 near Walmart Drive in Daphne, according to Alabama authorities.

An officer spotted a glass pipe on the center console, prompting a probable cause search of his vehicle. The police found 3 grams of meth, 8 pre-rolled marijuana joints, 4 cut straws, 3 pipes, and a bong during the bust.

Gillum received Barack Obama’s unqualified endorsement for governor. He was the Tallahassee mayor at the time and was suspected of some illicit dealings.

Gillum was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and second-degree possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. He was booked into the Daphne City Jail before being transferred to the Baldwin County Correctional Facility and has since been released, jail records show.

In 2020, the married Mr. Gillum was found by Miami Beach police inebriated in a room with two other men, suspected to be involved in a sex and drug party. One of the men was suffering from an overdose. At the time, officers reported that three small bags of suspected crystal meth were in the hotel room.

He came within a hair’s breadth of ruining Florida because he had a D next to his name and Barack’s endorsement. Gillum would have shut Florida down during the pandemic for one thing. He also has the same progressive ideas we see in California, New York, and Chicago.
