In an op-ed in The Free Press, Simone Rodan-Benzaquen of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies claims that Jean-Luc Mélenchon—the leader of La France Insoumise (LFI, France Unbowed), a radical left-wing party in France. Rodan-Benzaquen. The purpose is to advance his political prospects ahead of the election. Mélenchon’s alleged strategy appears to be to capitalize on the discontent currently roiling the country.
In a 2012 speech, he argued that progressive political action must “turn everything it touches into conflict.”
Mélenchon has also accused authorities of repression with a racist undertone—the idea being that many of the members of the protesters are Muslim, and that is why they are being targeted by the government. He could be using them.
The Reds are bringing the anti-Israel platform into the schools by doing this. Rodan-Benzaquen’s theory or fact seems very plausible. They are trying to provoke a serious confrontation with the government, which may be why President Macron is blaming social media instead of addressing the issue.
The Reds need the Greens. It’s important to note that the students are running around waving Palestinian flags.
