The unveiling today was remarkable. Despite a $17 billion shortfall, Zohran’s handing out very expensive free gifts to his supporters.

How does this add up? New Yorkers deserve to hear from the person we elected to keep an eye on the city’s finances.

City councilwoman Vickie Palladino wrote on X about the budget vote farce:
Sitting in City Hall all day for the budget vote, and the process is going about as well as you’d expect.
The meeting has been delayed repeatedly, and council progressives are making last-minute demands for hundreds of millions of dollars more for housing vouchers, along with the ‘no more cops’ demand that was met earlier — in spite of assurances that we’d have money for around 500 new cops in the budget.
For reference, 500 new cops are basically nothing and barely put a dent in NYPD retirements.
We’re going to be here until midnight, probably.
This is a farce.
