The NY Times’ & Other Media’s Cringerrific Reporting on FlyDubai

The New York Times reported that the FlyDubai terror attack was an altercation. They literally posted this on X: A plane flying from Dubai to Israel was diverted after an altercation between the pilot and co-pilot, Israeli officials said.

The pilots merely argued, or so one might assume from the Times’ early reporting.

The Times reported later, “The motive for the attack was not clear.”

Maybe the co-pilot had a bad day or didn’t have his morning coffee.

This afternoon, the Times upped their reporting to say that “Investigators on Thursday were trying to determine what motivated the co-pilot on a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv to stab the pilot, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing after passengers and crew members bravely rushed the cockpit to avert a midair catastrophe.

The BBC reported, “a fight had broken out between two pilots.” They even had a photo of a man with a small cut on his forehead. They mentioned a stabbing.

The media is useless. They report inaccurately and then fail to self-correct when more information comes out.

We all knew a lot more from Prime Minister Netanyahu, but it’s such a slog for the media to get to the presses.

Euronews: “fight between pilots”
The Guardian: “reported fight between pilots”
FRANCE 24: “cockpit brawl”
USA TODAY: “apparent pilot fight”
New York Times: pilots “clash in cockpit”

Could it be they don’t want us to think ill of radical Islamists?
