The Pfizer building is near collapse and engineers are looking at ways to save the building. It appears that the engineers missed the inadequate steel supports from the 1960s when they added the new floors.
It’s always best to wait for the facts. Rumors and allegations have been running wild, and they were wrong.

So, it wasn’t because of the non-union labor or NYFD inspections could never have picked this up.
I got sent this video of 235 East 42nd Street at 8am this morning. The construction industry in NYC is a very small town. Now that the FDNY posted these photos it all makes sense.
