Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, told ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos that he was angry with the lone juror who didn’t vote to acquit because he learned the juror wasn’t applying the reasonable doubt standard.
“What I was upset about was after that lengthy trial and the work that everyone put into this case, including these jurors that spent literally almost two months away from their home, their job, their family, where a gentleman had an opinion … but that according to the note from the forelady that he had doubt but he would not apply the law of reasonable doubt as presented by the judge,” Reddington told George Stephanopoulos. “That’s not right, and that’s why I was upset.”
The jurors’ names were withheld for two weeks, so we don’t know the name of the lone juror, but not only did the lawyer put a target on his back, three female jurors just did, too.
They appeared in an NBC News special to go over what transpired in the jury room – from their perspective.
One juror said she was very “excited” to acquit Lindsay, especially after the lone juror admitted he had “reasonable doubt.” Another called the male juror who voted guilty “arrogant.” She felt he was arrogant because he didn’t abide by the information the three nurses provided to the jury.
The third juror said he apparently “couldn’t get off the fact that Lindsay viciously murdered her children.”
Whether he didn’t abide by reasonable doubt, we cannot say until we hear from him.
He is an American hero for standing up for what he believed to be right. Lindsay brutally murdered her three small children. The young children suffered physically and emotionally at their own mother’s hands in the last moments of their lives.

Their expertise doesn’t count.
Jurors are required to consider only evidence and expert testimony provided and cross-examined in court. They are not allowed to substitute their own expertise and then use that to pressure other jurors.
