John Thune’s buddies in South Dakota blocked Scott Presler from a South Dakota GOP event because he would post what he hears on social media. So much for transparency and welcoming the grassroots. It does say a lot about John Thune and his acolytes.
The Sergeant at Arms, Matthew Bruner, wouldn’t let him in. He said, “I’m the @$$hole who won’t let you in.” At least he got that right. Anyway, Bruner was fired from his $56,000 job.
It won’t affect him much since he’s rich and sells luxurious steaks to the public.
I will stand with @ScottPresler, even if it means standing against the GOP.
Literally no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, works as hard as Scott to help the GOP win elections.

Eric Daugherty said Bruner was fired, and the party chairman apologized to Presler.
“I want to personally apologize for how things were handled tonight at the South Dakota GOP Convention…Matt Bruner has been relieved of his duties as one of our Sergeant at Arms by the lead Sergeant at Arms.”
He had to do that. The SD GOP was lambasted on social media for blocking Presler. Presler does more for the GOP than the GOP does for the party. However, I imagine Bruner won’t be far from power. He probably represents many of the Thune allies.
