According to the US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz, President Trump has stopped bombing Iran to give negotiations some space. Iran said they will stop bombing and their strikes are entirely retaliatory. They are willing to resume negotiations.
It seems to be a stalemate. The US has the might and Iran has the leverage. Iran also has a radical Ayatollah who is reporterdly more warlike than his late father.
Iran has their Houthi wing blockading Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait and Bahrain attacked Iran.
US President Donald Trump was giving talks with Iran “some space,” US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz told Fox News on Sunday.
"He's giving talks some space, he's giving it a little bit of room," Waltz said.https://t.co/T0UaMf0SUM pic.twitter.com/Y6BRCNjRF5

The new UK defense secretary Wes Streeting, Pete Hegseth’s equivalent, said Europeans will thank President Trump one day for waking them from their complacency. The rude Sky News reporter asked Streeting what he was going to do to suck up to Donald Trump. This is what passes for journalism these days.

.@TrevorPTweets: "What exactly are you going to do to suck up to Donald Trump?"
Defence Secretary @wesstreeting: "The first thing you do, is you don't suck up. And I don't think that's what his administration is looking for, actually. He's a straight talker."
