Instead of hiring Americans, Wendy’s is using specialized visas to hire foreigners. What special talent do you need to work at Wendy’s?
They have over 200 locations in India, and I guess they want to bring Indians here. Nothing against Indians. Overall, I’ve found them to be lovely people, but Wendy’s should hire Americans.
These are nice jobs for school kids. We are losing that.
I am crossing Wendy’s off my list.
Fast food giant @Wendys just dropped new visa-sponsored roles. Roles include General Manager and Assistant Manager. Americans can fill these roles and do not require “specialized skills.” We do not have a talent shortage for fast food jobs. Wendy’s has over 200 locations in india pic.twitter.com/XKJ0tOi6zK

“So-called American companies say they have no choice but to use the H-1B program because they ‘can’t find Americans for these jobs,’” says the InvestAzoria CEO, James Fishback.
“Here’s the ugly truth, he writes, “they’re not even looking for Americans. They refuse to interview them. They hide job postings in obscure newspapers to “check the box,” and when no one “applies,” they import another foreign worker—denying yet another qualified American a job, a wage, and the dignity and purpose that come with both. It’s disgraceful. It’s time to finally and fully dismantle the H-1B scam.”
The postings are required by law and are legal, but that doesn’t change the fact that American companies prioritize the H-1B foreigners and abuse the program. They aren’t looking for Americans, and companies are now suing over the $ 100,000-per-person fee that President Trump levied. President Trump has vowed to fight them.
Congress should do away with this, but they won’t.
