Zohran’s Muslim Building Head Bans Rebuilding a Historic Church

Zohran’s Muslim buildings chief has rejected the rebuilding of a church that was set afire less than 4 weeks ago by an unknown arsonist. The city says it has plans to use the site for something else. They gave the church leaders no time to save their 173-year-old church and plan to tear it down in August.

To recap, the Islamists in charge don’t know who set the fire and won’t give the parishioners time to rebuild because they have other plans for it.

A 173-year-old church in New York City was burned down intentionally three-and-a-half weeks ago. The arsonist(s) have not been found. It was built in 1853 and has an active congregation that wants it rebuilt. They have engineers who said a partial rebuild is possible. They have offered a full rebuild. Still, the Zohran Muslim appointee insists it be torn down immediately and taken over by someone the City has in mind.

New York City’s Department of Buildings is headed by a practicing Muslim, Ahmed Tigani. Tigani said they will tear it down in August. They have other plans for the location.

After flames engulfed the South Bushwick Reformed Church on June 19, the church’s engineers said the building required only partial demolition, but the NYC Department of Buildings pushed for a full demolition, originally scheduling it for August.

The pastor said it has been a trying three weeks. They got a temporary hold on Tuesday.

There is no way New York City should be trying to quickly demolish it and confiscate the property. They won’t say what they will put in place of the church. The City is wiping away New York’s history and a Christian church.

A Zoom meeting on Monday included representatives from the Department of Buildings, the church, and others. During the meeting, the city said demolition would begin this week. City officials have maintained that the church’s engineers never provided a plan to “safely stabilize the structure” that would allow a partial demolition instead of a full teardown. Dina Alfano of the Bushwick Historic Preservation Association said the new deadline was impossible to meet.

“That left us basically less than half a day to try to get a team in there to get them the remaining information they needed,” Alfano said. “The long and the short of it is that it just wasn’t possible with the time constraints to get them what they wanted.”

They’re burning the churches. Two churches in Queens were allegedly burned down by an illegal immigrant. Four churches have been burned down in the city just this year.
