Aidan Kearney of Turtleboy News doxxed the holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy case. He reported the juror’s name, photo, and media smears. As far as I know, the juror was not convicted of anything, and the charges were dropped.
Kearney said,
…Although there is no official party position on the Clancy verdict, it’s impossible to ignore that conservative influencers on social media and television almost unanimously believe that this juror is a hero and have baselessly accused all Clancy supporters of being liberals.
“However, this is a First Amendment issue above all else. American citizens, including those who work for media companies, have the right to report on news that they become aware of. This is the most high-profile trial in the world, and this one juror single-handedly caused a mistrial. On the juror questionnaire, all jurors are asked if they have ever been arrested, charged with a crime, or served with a court order. All of these boxes should’ve been checked by the juror, and according to NBC legal analyst Michael Coyne, it would almost certainly have gotten the prosecution or the defense to keep the man off the jury.”
Kearney has several legitimate points, but I still think the juror is a hero for sticking with his decision, despite alleged tremendous pressure in our cancel culture.
If he lied on the form, that is a problem. Additionally, we believe others support Lindsay besides the left-wingers. But the pink ladies made the news and were the subject of the articles. They blasted and blamed men, declared her innocent, blamed her husband Patrick for the murders, and made ridiculous statements like claiming her horoscope determined her actions. That’s why the left-wing pink ladies took over the storylines.
Yes, One Juror Can Go Against 11; It’s the Law
However, the idea that a single juror could cause a mistrial is a problem and an offense to our justice system, in my non-lawyerly opinion. We have 12 jurors, so even if 11 don’t agree, one can hold up the final ruling. That is the law. It’s not that if 1 goes against the majority, the 11 win. If 11 could decide, we would have a jury of 11.
The left has made it partisan and now wants her acquitted on the grounds of insanity based on the decision of 11 jurors, even after a mistrial has been ruled upon.
Kearney appears to have traced the juror through a GiveSendGo. I don’t wish to post the juror’s name or photo. His fundraiser has earned $65,000, and he will need it. I get the sense that Kearney seems concerned that the holdout juror would make money, but Kearney is not concerned that a mother who brutally murdered three little children has over $1 million in a fundraiser.
It’s certainly understandable that people are sympathetic to a woman they think couldn’t help what she did. It’s quite another to attack a juror who disagrees. If he lied on a form, that is a problem, but that is not clear.
I think Mr. Kearney should be the first to hire Lindsay as a babysitter for his children. If Lindsay is acquitted on the grounds of insanity, she could be out in 40 days. She will be available to work in a hospital or babysit a pink lady’s child.
