Just when you thought Chris Christie might have run out of attacks on the administration, he comes up with a new one. The vindictive failed presidential candidate Chris Christie wants people to believe Todd Blanche is unqualified to become Attorney General.
Whatever anyone thinks of Todd Blanche, he is very well-qualified.
As Mike Davis has said, Todd Blanche is a former federal law clerk (twice), federal prosecutor, manager in the SDNY U.S. attorney’s
office, big-law partner, high-profile criminal defense attorney, deputy attorney general, and acting attorney general.
Todd Blanche gave up everything to join the administration. He was making millions of dollars a year at a top law firm, and gave it all up. During President Trump’s lowest point under lawfare, he came to understand how unfair it was.
If President Trump had lost in 2024, Democrats would have destroyed him, and he knew it.
Todd Blanche clerked for two federal judges.
Prosecuted cases in the Southern District of New York and managed that office.
Made partner at a top law firm and built one of the highest-profile criminal defense practices in the country.

In an op-ed on Fox News, Mike Davis explains why Blanche earned this job. He mentioned his role in saving Donald Trump from a terrible fate.
Thanks to Blanche and other accomplished attorneys, like now-U.S. Solicitor General John Sauer and now-Judge Bove, Trump mounted vigorous defenses against the four indictments. No doubt, save for the excellent U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon in the Southern District of Florida, Democrat judges in the Democrat jurisdictions where Trump faced charges yearned to send him to prison for the rest of his life. Despite the conviction in the New York case, an absurdity that appellate review should reverse, Trump avoided that horrible fate and instead conducted a winning presidential campaign that earned him a clear electoral mandate. Had he not had lawyers of Blanche’s caliber, the outcome could have been different for the president and the nation.
Chris Christie is doing what he does best outside of eating: spreading propaganda.
