The above screenshot from Abdul El-Sayed’s living room bookshelf shows the books he considers important enough to display. The clip comes from his 2018 documentary as he ran for governor. However, his spokesperson said it wasn’t his bookshelf but didn’t say whose it was. It was in his living room.
Dr. Malouf shared the following clip and wrote:
TERRIFYING: Abdul El-Sayed told his camera crew during his 2018 gubernatorial campaign to HIDE his shelf full of Qurans and other Islamic books because he wanted to pretend to be secular.
“You’re gonna wanna not get these things (Qurans) in the shot. Try to keep the shot secular.”
This is a prime example of TAQIYYA, the Islamic practice of lying to advance Islam.
Abdul El-Sayed is NOT a ‘progressive’, ‘far-left’, or ‘socialist.’ He’s only using those groups as useful idiots to get into power. He’s first and foremost a Muslim, and as such, the only thing he cares about is advancing Islam.

The Bookshelf Included Moderate and Radical Islamic Books
It contained works by an unindicted co-conspirator of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, a member of an Islamic group that sought to establish a Sharia-governed state, and a Muslim cleric whose writings have influenced al Qaeda and other major terrorist groups.
It included Dream Interpretation According to the Qur’an, by Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips, a Jamaican-born Islamic scholar named by the United States as an unindicted co-conspirator of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Philips, who resides in Qatar after being deported from a slew of nations, lauds suicide bombers and thinks girls as young as 8 can be married. Also, Husbands can beat their wives nicely to re-establish authority.
El-Sayed’s bookshelf also contained a copy of Reflections on the Quran by the late Irfan Ahmad Khan, a member of Jamaat-e-Islami, a movement founded in British India in 1941 that sought to establish an Islamic state governed by Sharia law.
Another book on the shelf, A Thematic Commentary on the Qur’an, was written by Muslim Brotherhood member Sheik Mohammed al-Ghazali, who said: “the refusal of implementation [sic] of sharia is apostasy.” He testified during a 1993 trial in defense of 13 Islamic terrorists.
In 2022, he equated a 2010 ballot measure to ban Sharia law in the state to notorious Oklahoma atrocities such as the Trail of Tears, the Tulsa race massacre, and the Oklahoma City bombing, the Free Beacon reported.
Here is Abdulrahman pushing for Sharia law:
This is unbelievable. I thought it was AI.
Abdul El-Sayed advocates for sharia law in the U.S.
He argues that the U.S. banned sharia because of hate and discrimination, and the forces that banned it are the same forces that committed [insert every historic evil].

The bookshelf contained a copy of Rethinking Muslim Women and the Veil by Katherine Bullock. Bullock came under fire for arguing that there is “absolutely nothing radical about wanting a Caliphate or wanting Sharia” from an Islamic point of view. There is more in the Free Beacon. It is worse than what you see here.
El Sayed is also DSA. The exposé is at this link or here. The top DSA official says he is DSA, a communist despite the acronym.
