At first, the concerns about Data Centers seemed legitimate, and to some degree they are. When examined, the complaints about data centers are very limited, and the concerns about water usage are untrue. As for AI in general, concerns exist but were grossly exaggerated and elevated by Jacob Coxon, an NGO plant. Alleged ‘senior scientist’ Jacob Coxon quit Anthropic and said AI could eliminate mankind in ten years. He didn’t present evidence. Coxon only needed to say it. He has credentials, or does he?
No, he doesn’t have credentials. He is a relatively low-level staffer working with NGOs who want a government takeover. You need to know much more about this.
White House AI Advisor David Sacks: They Want a Government Takeover
The Internet has had a day to review Coxon’s statement about eliminating mankind in ten years. “What they’ve seen is that this is an account of a relatively low-level staffer of Anthropic who had never tweeted before, who had no followers, and all of a sudden he posts this tweet, and it gets amplified by the biggest doomer NGOs.
“So the odds that he’s not working with them are very low, and the clincher of this is that the Wall Street Journal ran a story about his resignation tweet, and they posted that story 18 minutes before the tweet itself got posted. So obviously he was working with the Wall Street Journal on this story. “
“So you know he’s trying to portray himself as just this organic, you know, viral phenomenon. But the truth is that this is a well-orchestrated media op, and it’s designed to scare the public about AI, so that these NGOs can implement their preferred approach to AI, which is a government takeover.”
Some people have said that we can reach a deal with China.
As Sacks said, “There’s simply no basis for believing that. Chinese officials have never said that. And in fact, if you look at the statements of Chinese officials and their AI companies, they believe that AI is something that’s very good for their economy, and they are interested in moving that forward. They frankly don’t have these doomer groups in China pushing for a pause, so they’re not interested in a pause. And if we were to stop or pause, then I don’t think they would. And even if we could agree with them on that deal, I don’t think it’d be enforceable. There’d be no way of verifying it.
“And one last point on this is that the Chinese public is actually, if you look at polling of the Chinese, they’re quite optimistic about AI. Something like 80% of Chinese people think AI will be a positive for them. So frankly, they don’t have this giant influence operation of these doomer groups in China. …”
Brett Baier asked what he meant by Doomer groups, and Sacks explained that there’s a range of ideological groups, and the small group includes people like Coxon. His point in mentioning Doomer Groups is that “Jacob is being portrayed in the media as representing this broad swath of Silicon Valley. To be sure, there are others who think like him, but it is not a monolith. There is a very diverse set of opinions about the future of AI.”
The Trail of Fabrication
After the hysteria over data centers was drummed up, some loyal Democrat(ic) Party servants put a moratorium on AI data centers to highlight alleged fears. They claimed they were just responding to the people, but much of the angst was driven by social media, not reality.
Barack Obama recently put out a statement expressing his “fears,” and leftist CEOs at Anthropic and ChatGPT said they would slow down development.
White House AI advisor David Sacks said they don’t need to slow down, just do their job properly.
Then, we found out through Miranda Devine that the Anthropic board is filled with Obama apparatchiks.
Lastly, in came Bill Gates calling for – not even a government takeover – but an international takeover. Bernie Sanders even wrote his anti-AI law in London with anonymous others.
The Party Hysterics
Now, the party hysterics are coming out to pepper the planet with fear. Chris Murphy, who is dating a Soros blogger, is one of the many now screaming. It’s the same screaming we heard during the pandemic. The process is this: they take a real issue, blow it up out of all proportion to frighten people into obedience, then they exploit the fear to further their agenda.
The one thing I know is we can’t let the CCP have the advantage unless we want to be slaves.
They think we are all stupid.
I want to talk to you about the growing amount of alarming news about AI.
This is a longer clip, but it’s a complicated topic.
The bottom line: we are cooked, as an economy and a culture, if we leave it to the industry to protect us. They won’t. They can’t. pic.twitter.com/uM6TkRUiIA
