Texas Gov. Greg Abbott intervened to block Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport from placing Islamic foot-washing stations in the bathrooms. As he said, it is illegal. The governor is considering revoking the grant and referring it to the Trump administration.
Abbott said, “DFW plans to install Islamic wudu washing facilities are illegal. I’ve directed a review of all state grants to both airports for possible revocation, and referred DFW and IAH to USDOT for investigation.”
“Texas will not allow illegal religious discrimination at taxpayer-funded facilities.”
He has also ordered an investigation into any possible Sharia Courts. They are not allowed under the U.S. Constitution.
These religious accommodations are in airports around the country. They are a violation of the separation of church and state that the left usually rails against. The Call to Prayer is as well.
The airport officials said they wanted to do it to stop Islamists from cleaning their feet in sinks meant for washing hands. It is unsanitary. The Muslim religion cannot impose on Americans’ rights. They can buy wet ones and wash their feet in the bathroom cubicles.
