It is not directly reflective of Islam any more that atrocities by those claiming to be Christians is a reflection of what the Bible teaches.
There is one huge difference! Christians aren’t taught to commit such atrocities, but killing is a fundamental belief of Islam, and is taught constantly by their clerics. Their schools are indoctrination centers for children to teach them to hate and kill Jews in particular, but all infidels. Simply read about the life of Mohammad and you will see that his whole religion was built on killing, torturing and raping victims.
Read the bible and you’ll find that the same God that Christians worship ordered the Israelites to genocide others so there would not be anyone remaining to seek revenge.
if your rather pedantic point had any validity in modern times, we would be worried about armies of Christian invaders, taught by their churches to go forth raping and torturing innocent families, as they slaughter them in their homes. But we don’t see that. There isn’t one Christian church condoning this sort of barbarism against civilians, anywhere in the world.
instead, we see the same thing we’ve seen since the 1970s. Muslim men are taught by their clerics to behead, rape and torture. They haven’t evolved at all from the Ottoman Empire days. Muslims are the only ones still agitating for the barbaric and unprovoked destruction of innocent children, women, the elderly, and peaceful, unarmed non-combatants.
stop trying to deflect from the issue. It’s sickening. Muslims are killing and then celebrating the slaughter of thousands of innocent humans. No other religion is teaching this. A history lesson from 2000 years ago is unhelpful, and completely irrelevant to the current environment of terrorism. It is an attempt to excuse and obfuscate the cruel, savage treatment of non-Muslims, today. There is clearly a significant core of Evil that exists within modern-day Islam. Stop making excuses for terrorists.

Wake up and stop making politically correct (in other words, factually erroneous) statements. To them, You and your religion are legitimate targets for destruction.
