A pseudo-Independent candidate, Dan Osborn, is running for the Senate in Nebraska, and as soon as he wins, he will “stand for LGBTQ, immigration, and all these issues” and tell everyone else to ‘eff off’ for six years.
Isn’t that quaint.
We reported this in July, but it’s making the rounds again, and it’s good timing with the election six weeks away. At the time, we also noted that he recruited Graham Platner. Osborn had to cancel a fundraiser because his co-host was Dana Chasin. She is a longtime Democratic donor who was mentioned in the Jeffrey Epstein files. Chasin was allegedly transporting young girls for the late convicted offender, as was first reported by Politico.
“I can go, and I can be the voice for LGBT and immigration and all these issues,” Osborn was caught saying on tape. “Then I lose an election. .., And, and, yeah. And so at the end of the day, I’m gonna win this election. And then I’ll be the Senator for six years, and everybody else can eff off.”
He was also caught on tape saying, “I can’t say I want to abolish ICE.” He apparently wants to, but he won’t win if people realize how radical he is.

Dan Osborn has spent his entire Senate campaign selling Nebraska voters on a carefully branded “nonpartisan independent” label. In the same recording in which he admits he can’t tell people he wants to abolish ICE, he’s pressed on trans athletes competing in women’s sports — an issue he’s dodged throughout the race — and again admits the honest answer would cost him votes in a state that’s roughly 50% Republican to just 26% Democrat. Instead of stating a position, he complains about being pushed to state one at all.
Osborn is a Democrat, and moderate Democrats are a thing of the past. The only exception might be John Fetterman, though he votes with the Democrats 93% of the time. The Nebraska Democratic Party endorsed Osborn because he’s a Democrat. He has received substantial contributions from them.

Asked by CNN’s Dana Bash on “Inside Politics” if he was the speaker, Osborn replied, “It sure sounds like me.”
“I don’t remember the context of this one particular conversation, but it certainly does sound out of character for myself,” he said, adding, “I would apologize to those people that might be offended, but I gotta tell them, I feel their pain. I absolutely feel their pain. We’re all angry right now, and sometimes when you’re angry you say some things.”
