The celebration that could not be stopped.

The president was not going to be stopped by a sudden lightning storm on Independence Day 250. By 6 pm on Independence Day, he wrote on Truth Social, “I don’t care if it’s 2:00 O’Clock in the morning, or in one hour from now. Looks like it is going to pass; they always do. I will be there no matter what, but the “what” usually turns out to be a good thing. It’s Saturday night. LET’S HAVE SOME FUN, even if we are out late tonight.”

Most stayed. It was 100 degrees during the day, but they stood in line, and they came back.

Trump was back on stage shortly after 11 p.m., more than an hour after he was scheduled to begin speaking. “American strength and power are not something to be ashamed of; they are something that we are very proud of,” Trump said. For 40 minutes, he spoke, honoring veterans and Gold Star families. He brought to the stage astronauts from the Artemis II mission.

He featured flags from American history, including one of the first U.S. flags ever made; the flag that draped across Abraham Lincoln’s casket; and one pulled from the sunken USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor. The 1777 Flag flew at the Battle of Saratoga. The Lincoln Casket Flag was draped over President Abraham Lincoln’s coffin. The D-Day Flag flew during the invasion of Normandy. The Wright Brothers’ flag is from the 1st flight.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis described the event as shock and awe.

World War II veterans watched from their monument.

The lost souls

There are people posting nasty comments, such as “Trump made racism popular again.” One linked to those ridiculous patriot front guys marching along. No one knows for sure what their motives are, but they certainly have nothing to do with Donald Trump, Republicans, Libertarians, or Conservatives. They seem to be some kind of plants. One must wonder if SPLC paid them off.

If a person can’t even enjoy Independence Day 250, they are probably not much of an American.

Why are they here? If they are not here to be Americans, deport them.
