The Google co-founder Sergey Brin fled New York City. He dumped his stake in a New York investment fund, losing $75 million, to get out before it’s too late. Landlords are going to take a heavy hit under Zohran the commie, and Brin got out while he could.

Brin has quietly walked away from a sizable bet on New York City apartments. He sold his stake in a struggling real estate fund for six cents on the dollar. Mayor Zohran’s rent freeze tightens the screws on the city’s landlords.

The world’s third-richest man offloaded his holdings back to the fund’s manager, A & E Real Estate, according to documents filed in December and first reported by Bloomberg.

Amphitheater LLC, an entity tied to Brin, sold its shares in a fund holding nearly 5,900 units across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. Many of those apartments fall under New York’s rent stabilization program (freeze program).

Zohran plans to freeze rents while landlords’ other expenses continue to rise. When the landlords can’t keep up with the buildings, Zohran’s comrades will seize the properties.

His housing czar is going to seize private property.
