Iran Attended Today’s Negotiations Only to Walk Out

Iran walked out of the negotiations. Pakistan and Qatar praised the U.S., but that couldn’t change the mistakes made by the U.S. The entire episode was a bit surreal.

So how did Vance’s negotiations go today?

Amjad Taha أمجد طه, an Emirati expert, pointed to diplomatic mistakes JD Vance made:

This was humiliation. No one in modern history has made America wait and beg for negotiations. This was the moment JD Vance should have returned to Washington. The Islamic regime did this on purpose. Trump, if you don’t understand politics, you should at least understand protocol.

The visuals from Switzerland:
    • The U.S. delegation entered well before the Iranians. In diplomacy, the side with leverage doesn’t wait in the room. You claim to be leading and winning, yet you arrived first. First mistake.
    • Ghalibaf did not enter while the press was inside. JD Vance did. Another mistake. It looked as though you didn’t just abandon allies, including Israel, but you also diminished America’s image by ignoring basic diplomatic protocol.
    • The Iranian foreign minister entered last and refused to shake hands. We didn’t need photographs to tell us who looked confident and who looked desperate, but these images made it easy for the world to draw its own conclusions.

More Planned Humiliation

Ghalibaf refused to take a photo with Vice President Vance and walked out of the negotiations. They said it was in response to Trump’s threats.

President Trump said, “You close [the Strait], and you won’t have a country. You won’t even make it BACK to your f**king country.” That was after Iran said it would close the Strait over Israel’s bombing of Hezbollah, which was reportedly a response to Hezbollah’s bombing.

They walked out and said negotiations are over. They only attended to walk out and send a message home.

Israel and Hezbollah are bombing each other. Israel is occupying parts of southern Lebanon.

The problems with the deal.

Barack Obama sent Iran $20 billion in gold and cash. President Trump will arrange for $300 billion from the Gulf States and possibly the US to be given to Iran as it meets certain requirements.

Trump will release their money eventually and allow them to make money on their oil immediately. Obama released their money also.

Obama allegedly restricted the funds, but they were eventually recovered. His JCPOA allowed Iran to build a bomb in nine years. Trump’s letting them make money immediately.

The Strait Iran’s oil money is used to fund terror.

Iran never charged a fee or a toll to go through the Strait, and now they say they will. If Trump follows through on bombing them, he is talking about taking 20% of the oil.

The deal does not halt their ballistic missile program. Iran uses the missiles to shield their nuclear program. They also use them to control the Strait.

Iran can now keep their nuclear material, Trump says.

Iran is back to burning U.S. flags and chanting, “Death to America.” They are not going to negotiate honorably.

We lost. Sanction them and get out, or negotiate more realistically. No one believes Iran will negotiate honestly. The other option is to bomb them.
