According to comments President Trump made on Thursday, Iran wants to make a deal with the U.S. before the November elections. Its top diplomat said the regime had proposed a seven-day plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restart talks on a wider peace agreement.
Iran’s deputy minister on Friday accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of using his UN General Assembly address to justify war and aggression, and said mass walkouts during his remarks “spoke louder than any speech.”

Mohammad Mokhber, an adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, appeared to threaten civil aviation across the Middle East on Friday, saying no country in the region could operate flights or maintain airport services if Iran’s airlines are denied permission to operate.
Multiple countries have closed their airports to Iranian airlines this week to comply with recent U.S. sanctions against Iran. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said earlier this week that Iranian airlines would “shut down” from Wednesday, and he threatened countries that allowed them to use their airports with expulsion from the U.S. dollar system.
“Aligning with the United States in implementing hostile policies will remain in the memory of the Iranian people,” Mokhber warned in a post on X. “Our strategy on this issue is clear: Flights in the region are either free for everyone, or for no one,” he added.
“If Iran does not have the possibility of flying and receiving airport services, no country in the region will have this possibility either,” Mokhber said.
The countries might have walked out because they don’t like Prime Minister Netanyahu, but they likely also did so because they fear what Iran will do. They are bullies now playing innocent.
