John Thune, the Senate Majority “Leader,” is furious with Karoline Leavitt for saying President Trump is losing patience on the SAVE Act. The Senate won’t pass it, probably because some of them hate Trump. They won’t codify any of his agenda.
According to Punchbowl, Thune said, “Well, maybe SHE or somebody else ought to get on the phone and get the votes [for it]!”
“Instead of pointing the finger at Republicans, they might think about going after the people who are stopping it on the floor, which is the Democrats.”
“And if there are Republicans that they think are gettable, get on the phone. Let’s get them to YES.”
How about Thune push his senators to pass it or threaten to take his committee assignments away? At least try. The problem is the filibuster which Democrats will end anyway when they are back in power.
Shouldn’t Thune be angry with the senators who won’t cooperate?

Additionally, the House passed a bill to fund the government until December and Thune won’t even bring it to the floor. The bill is to avert another Democrat government shutdown before November to sway the elections. Thune won’t do it.
